One of our recent accomplishments was for Genau Extension, where we delivered a control solution for a 1600-ton hydraulic press used in cold forging applications.
🔧 Project Overview
This project involved the automation and control of a high-force hydraulic press with two cylinders—a main cylinder for pressing and an ejection cylinder for part removal. The system is designed for cold forging, where consistent force and timing are critical.
To ensure safe and efficient operation, we integrated PLC and HMI-based control, along with proximity sensors to detect end positions and critical limits.

- Delta PLC & HMI
Used for complete sequence control, timing adjustments, and real-time feedback display to the operator. - Proximity Sensors
Installed at key positions to detect cylinder stroke limits and ensure safe operation with precise travel detection. - Hydraulic Cylinder Coordination
Two-cylinder system:
- Main Cylinder for forging pressure
- Ejection Cylinder for removing the finished part
Our control logic ensures both cylinders work in a synchronized and safe manner.
- Cold Forging Integration
System is tailored for cold forging, where force control and timing accuracy are critical for part quality.
